Pan Fried Salmon

I’ve always liked salmon, what I like specifically about this recipe is how basic yet delicious it is!

Ingredients

Salmon fillets with or without skin
~1/2 teaspoon salt per fillet (but to be honest I don’t measure I just salt the salmon directly)
1 Tablespoon olive oil plus a little extra

Instructions

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil on medium to medium-high heat
2. Pour a small amount of oil over the bottom side of the fillet and sprinkle with salt
3. Place salmon in hot pan and drizzle a little oil over the top of the salmon and sprinkle with salt
4. As the color starts to change through the salmon flip when it’s about half way (as it cooks it will get lighter in color)
5. Cook the other side of the salmon until the whole fillet is light (about 3 minutes per side depending on thickness).

Note: If your salmon has skin you can sear the skin on high heat and eat it as a salt chip. Just turn down the heat a little before you flip the fillet.
