Cutting Grapefruit

Once upon a time as a kid, I remember have grapefruit sliced in have and attempting to dig out all of the fruit with a spoon. It took forever and I always felt like I missed half of the fruit. Years later, my mom discovered this new way to cut them and I haven’t looked back since!

Instructions

1. Slice each end of the grapefruit, just far enough to start seeing fruit. (Pictured above)
2. Slice around the edge of the grapefruit

3. Trim any large chunks at the bottom

4. Use your thumb to remove the grapefruit from the membrane, and give it a good squeeze to get all the extra juice

5. Enjoy plain, with salt or sugar! (Salt is my preference.)
