Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

This quick side dish or appetizer comes together in minutes! It’s great for grilling and doesn’t require a lot of seasoning to taste good. They even reheat well as long as they weren’t over cooked the first time.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes


1 pound of asparagus spears, trimmed to even lengths
4 slices of thick cut raw bacon
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Chopped shallots or chives (optional)


  1. Preheat grill or oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Toss asparagus with olive oil
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Divide asparagus into 4 bundles
  5. Sprinkle shallots or chives over asparagus
  6. Wrap one slice of bacon around a bundle of asparagus without overlapping and secure using toothpicks
  7. Place on aluminum foil and grill for 10 to 12 minutes
